DC8 Efficient unbounded acoustic analysis starting from CAD:
DC8 is focusing on implementing the fundamentals of IGA workflows for the acoustic simulations in time domain for unbounded (external) domains with the help of model order reduction (MOR) schemes.

To achieve unbounded time domain analysis, time domain boundary element method (TD-BEM) is chosen such that Sommerfeld radiation condition is satisfied exactly and time simulations are made with applying convolution as matrix multiplication. Since there were no readily available or open source TD-BEM application, a 2D external/internal code was build on top of the open source framework OpenBEM1 in Matlab. An academic example of a 2D rectangular geometry with a sudden application of pressure example is examined and the results are given below and compared with analytical solutions.
